Björn Langer
Architect · Berlin

For me, architecture begins with dialogue—between people, places, and their context. What matters is not a predetermined style, but a clear idea that emerges from the site, the requirements, and the needs of the people who will use it.

I am interested in solutions that feel natural: precise in design, pragmatic in execution, and relevant over time.

Experience from Design to Realization.

My path in architecture has taken me from Munich to Melbourne and Mexico City, and ultimately to Berlin. Working across different firms, cultures, and scales has shaped my approach—from experimental design to the planning and realization of complex buildings.

For nearly seven years, I worked at gmp Architects in Berlin on public, institutional, and private projects. My experience spans competitions and design, permitting and construction documentation, as well as work with existing buildings, renovations, and historic structures.

Today, I work as an independent architect in Berlin. I combine this experience with a direct, personal approach, guiding my own projects from initial analysis through design and permitting to further planning and implementation.
